He was highly entertaining, with his disdain for everything liberal and undisguised hatred for Obama.
Could this be him,
http://forums.appleinsider.com/forumdis ... forumid=17
posting under the same name?

Doesn't seem to be nearly as enjoyable, if it's him.

I would say that looks like him, about the standard posting format.

I haven't left! I just haven't logged on since May, apparently. Hmm didn't even notice CD left - I have been behind. Anyway, I'm back!

I kinda guessed he left here once it got quiet and he realized most of us weren't interested in talking to him anymore.

Maybe now we can get some more people to post and get a game of Mafia going.

I would definitely be up for that. Who all still checks in regularly here? I had been getting really sad looking at all the "last post" dates after CD left, and was wondering if it might finally be time to close up shop. If we could really get a game of mafia going though, we might breathe life back into this place yet.

You know that I am still around.

Baldprof just up and disappeared last year and we have not seen Moff Moff in about 6 months or so.

I'm still alive as well. Just lost interest in all the rancor and didn't want to see what he would spew post-election. I've dropped in from time to time to see what was up and a quick scan of the topics he posted convinced me I'd made the right decision in dropping away.

Thought I'd completely freed myself of him until I saw one of his AppleInsider forum posts quoted on CNN. The irony... it burned.

I'll start checking in again.

I'm around generally, but the next few weeks are summer vacation and network access will be spotty at best, so I will not be around much for that period.

I think I counted 10 people. That would be a small game of Mafia, I think.

Traffic herein needs advancement Dan; although I am certain you know that! Certainly is tough arguing alone with the leftist progressive squad who frequent Apple Discussion boards as they gamely defend their Chicago messiah. Nonetheless, before you close up shop and deflate the tires - if that's at all being considered - let me extend my Southern hospitality and thanks to you and others for the AtAT experience while it lasted and the opportunity to mock the Democrats and catch up on Apple tech news! New iPad and all makes me long for the old Apple threads we use to batter around and the politics banter in Sit & Spin. Conversely, if you're up for a recruitment drive of diehard administration advocates/apologists as a lifeline for AtAT I would be happy to oblige them... Stay thirsty my friend...

I had considered closing up shop but I just can't bring myself to do it. Some part of me still wants this forum to survive, somehow. For Jack to return to AtAT and all the old forum friends to come out of the woodwork and make this place the happening hubbub it used to be. I'm certainly not opposed to a recruitment drive, though I'm uncertain how successful such an endeavor could be. The forum's raison d'ĂȘtre -- AtAT Proper -- is gone and largely forgotten by the Mac community. It's been half a decade now since the last post there, and I fear we may be reaching the time that the last post will happen here as well.

Even if that happens, I think I'll continue to let this place run as a ghost town. There are a lot of memories here. I still remember the day the forum first went live, and I don't think with that memory still in my head that I am capable of pulling the plug on it.

With that said, if you can bring in new people, go for it. I would love nothing more than to see this forum spring back to life after all this time.

I will still be here, and upgrading the software when the inclination hits me.
