Hey guys. I got an e-mail today about a thread that was last updated four years ago. Maybe there was some sort of hiccup... but at least it brought me back. What's going on here these days? How the heck are you guys? Who's still here that I remember from way back when? And what became of the old AtAT site? I see that it's no longer there, you guys know anything? From what I can tell from searching The Google, nothing is conclusive. (Looks like there was some sort of brough-ha-ha going on on this forum about it, too.)

Anyway, I hope you guys are all doing well.

The response was a spammer posting about wigs in old threads. The spammer and posts are long gone now.

AppleTurns goes up and down all the time, but nothing has been updated since the last post.

I am currently one of the Admins on the board and the one who got PHPBB 3.0 installed.

Dan is still here as he owns the site, CD is still here.

Wow, hard to believe I'm still #9 in total posts. Of course, those Mafia games helped...

Yep, I loved them.

Of course we do not have enough people to do them anymore.

Our once proud forum has been reduced to a shouting match because people keep feeding a troll.

So what's new here? What's everybody doing these days? I'm still doing graphic design. Got married and started a family. Was laid off this summer, and am now doing contract work along with freelance design work. It's been all right.

Holy crap dude, welcome back. Yeah, the brouhaha about what happened to AtAT got much worse than is commonly known. The guy who came here and started spamming about the alleged death of Jack Miller became fixated on me, finding out and then calling my employer at the time, and being a miserable bang in general. Police reports were filed, the FBI was contacted, and lawyers consulted. It was a mess. I stopped giving him the attention he craved, and he got bored and moved on, but bang dude, South Carolina has some weird people in it.

This forum is pretty slow, now. A few posts here and there, but most of the activity is arguments going on in Sit and Spin. A number of people have complained that it's mostly vitriol, which is accurate to some degree. But I'm hesitant to crack down on one of the only remaining content generators over here. AtAT proper has been dead for years now, but this forum is still hanging onto life. I'd be sad to see it go, so as long as people still come here, I'm happy to keep it running.

In my opinion, the situation in S&S has improved. There are no direct personal attacks, and there is some serious political discussion going on in there. We also keep itfocused when we discuss in other sub-forums, so there's no reason to not stop by somewhere else and open a topic.

Actually I came on here because I was just telling a friend how much I miss AtAT. It's really too bad, but I guess like all good things it had to come to an end. Has anybody heard anything from Jack these days? Is he still writing. I'd love to read some of his stuff if he is...

Wowsers, it's almost like a 10 Year High school reunion around here. Hi gang!

Better make that 8 year reunion as the forum was created in 2002.

Which was probably the reason I was finally able to join. Years ago I got stuck because a non-finalized subscription kept me from using my e-mail address for another one and without a subscription I could also not contact the webmasters (and creating an extra email account just for joining this forum was a bit too much). Catch 22.

Anyway, I am one of those who immensely enjoyed AtAT years ago. Apple now equalling Microsoft in market cap made be think back about those days (and Michael Dell suggesting to close Apple down and hand the money back to the investors).

Is there some sort of history page for AtAT and such? Just curious.
